The numbers are in for United Way of Sheboygan County after another successful day of giving back to the community.
The United Way’s Day of Caring took place one week ago and again served as the nonprofit’s biggest day of the year for community outreach.
In total, 1,300 Day of Caring volunteers stepped up in what the United Way described as a “massive outpouring of love for our community.”
Those 1,300 volunteers were out at 41 different project sites across the county, tackling projects including painting houses and a mural, planting trees, building a pantry, sorting donations, and much more.
Noting the importance of this day every year, the United Way gave their thanks, stating, “Each year, this day grows not just in numbers – but in lasting impact – and it’s all thanks to YOU. Thank you, volunteers!”
