A local veteran-focused organization is once again asking the public to help raise money for a local hero.
Patriot Riders of America, WI Chapter 2 will be at Tapped on the Lakeshore on Saturday (October 4th) for its 2nd Annual Axe-Treme Competition fundraiser.
On top of an axe-throwing competition and a last-chance cornhole tournament, Chapter Co-Founder and Vice-President Jenny Matte says, “All money raised at the event will be matched by our organization for our Hero United States Marine Veteran Katie Ripley.”
Katie was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma in December 2024, and has been undergoing countless appointments, tests, and procedures.
She served in the Marines from 2007 to 2012, completing two tours in Iraq.
