The Manitowoc Lincoln girls’ tennis team struggled in its final FRCC dual meet of the season.
The Ships traveled to Sheboygan North, where they fell as a team to the Golden Raiders 6-1.
Taylor Peterson and Jordin Popp continued their impressive season with a 6-1, 6-1 victory in #1 doubles, while Breleigh Kowalski and Elighana Camacho had a match in #3 doubles that went into a third-set tiebreaker.
The Ships won the first set 6-2, but the Raiders bounced back to claim set two 6-3.
The third set eventually went to the Raiders by a score of 10-7.
Maddie Black also put up a great fight against Macy Bowman in #4 singles, which she lost 7-6. 7-5.
The Ships will have some time to recuperate as the next time they hit the court will be for the subsectional, which will be held at the Sports Core in Kohler on October 7th.
