A Milwaukee school paraprofessional is facing legal action after being accused of physically assaulting an 11-year-old autistic boy aboard a school bus.
According to surveillance video from Grantosa School, 63-year-old William Houghton was seen restraining and repeatedly hitting the child during a struggle over seatbelt compliance on September 22nd.
The bus driver noticed injuries on the child’s face and informed the boy’s mother.
Authorities launched an investigation after the school reported the incident several days later.
Houghton is expected in court for a preliminary hearing on October 6th.
