Two Rivers residents will have the chance to dispose of unwanted electronics this weekend.
The Two Rivers Optimist Club will be hosting an electronics recycling event on Saturday (October 4th) from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the City’s Parks and Recreation Department Office.
There is an extensive list of items that will be free to recycle, such as cell phones, water heaters, washers, dryers, and much more.
However, there will be a fee charged to dispose of certain items.
It will cost $5 to recycle air conditioners and dehumidifiers, $10 for CRT and LCD monitors and televisions, and $20 for freezers, refrigerators, and projection TVs.
All fees collected will directly benefit the Two Rivers High School Octagon Club.
The Optimist Club has also noted that items such as lightbulbs, alkaline batteries, household trash, and liquids will not be selected.
A complete list of items that will or will not be accepted at the event can be found online by visiting the Two Rivers Optimist Club Facebook page.
