Traffic patterns in the City of Sheboygan have changed as a road construction project nears completion.
The City’s Department of Public Works has shared that two-way traffic on Washington Avenue between South Business Drive and South Taylor Drive was officially restored on Wednesday night (September 24th), albeit in a limited capacity.
One lane of traffic in both directions has been restored through the project length, and milling and paving work should be completed by the end of today (September 26th).
On Monday (September 29th), crews will be completing pavement marking operations, and it is anticipated that the project will then be complete.
Then, depending on any unforeseen circumstances, Washington Avenue will be completely reopened and regular traffic patterns will be restored on Tuesday (September 30th).
As is the case with all roadwork in Sheboygan, all traffic impacts are weather-dependent and subject to change.
Further updates in the event of inclement weather can be found on the Sheboygan DPW Facebook page.
