Sheboygan residents will have the chance to “walk for a cause” this weekend.
The St. Vincent de Paul’s Awareness Walk will be held tomorrow (September 27th) at Firehouse Park, with registration opening at 9:00 a.m.
A blessing will then be held at 9:45 a.m. before the two-mile walk officially kicks off.
The event aims to raise awareness of the challenges faced by neighbors in need in the community, with a strong focus on underprivileged children throughout Sheboygan County.
Funds raised will directly go towards providing kids in need with shoes, coats, beds, and other necessities.
In addition to fundraising, those in attendance are encouraged to participate in the food drive and bring non-perishable food items to tomorrow’s Awareness Walk.
All food items brought in will be donated to the Sheboygan County Food Bank.
Registration to take part in the two-mile walk will cost $5 for children and $25 for adults, while group rates will be $50 for families and $75 for a team of four.
More information on the Awareness Walk can be found by visiting the St. Vincent de Paul Sheboygan Facebook page.
