The City of Manitowoc’s annual leaf pickup is fast approaching.
On October 6th, crews will begin making their way around the city to collect the fallen leaves from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., but the bulk of the leaf pickup will occur from October 20th through November 21st.
A parking ban will be in place during the pickup days. Individual streets will be cleaned up on the same day as trash pickup is scheduled, and vehicles parked on the street between 6:00 and 3:00 p.m. will be ticketed.
Informational flyers will be placed on vehicles from September 29th to October 3rd to ensure everyone is well aware of the upcoming cleanup.
Only leaves should be placed in the parking lane of the roadway, however, if there is no parking lane, leaves should be placed on the terrace.
Brush and garden waste will not be picked up during this cleanup effort.
