A nonprofit in Sheboygan has honored organizations in the community for their continued support of those with disabilities.
RCS Empowers held its annual Employer Recognition luncheon at Lakeland University on Tuesday (September 23rd), a yearly event to recognize individuals, employers, and other organizations that hire and support without bias.
These organizations work hand in hand with Empower, whose mission is to empower individuals with disabilities and special needs so they may work, live, and function with dignity and respect.
Groups to receive the 2025 Certificate of Appreciation included Nourish Farms, Lakeland University, the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, and the Sheboygan Falls YMCA.
The Sheboygan Area School District, Shoreline Metro, and Goodwill were among those named as 2025 Outstanding Employers, while the Southside Walmart, Plymouth Walmart, and Marcus Cinema were named 2025 Exemplary Employers.
These are just a few of the Sheboygan-area organizations recognized for their work to support, employ, and empower those in the community with disabilities.
