A local deli in Manitowoc looks to have closed its doors, while a new restaurant looks to be opening soon.
Around the social media community, a picture of a sign at Maretti’s that says “Maretti’s is closed. We are extremely thankful for the opportunity to have served you.”
What caused the closure of the deli was not announced.
According to the restaurant’s Facebook page, in 2024, there seem to have been issues within the building, and they’d cut back their hours from only 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
While the downtown business has closed its doors, another restaurant looks to be opening at the former Hot Pot and Buffalo Wild Wings on Harbor Town Lane.
The website of Tokyo Sushi Hibachi says that the restaurant will craft delicious dishes with the freshest ingredients, blending tradition and creativity.
An official opening date for the restaurant has not been announced, but a banner is hanging at the building on Harbor Town Lane.
