A film from an Academy Award-winning actor will close out the Sheboygan Film Festival (SFF).
SFF organizers have shared that Dead Man Walking, written and directed by Tim Robbins, will be the final screening of the festival that runs from October 2nd through the 5th.
The screening of the 1995 film will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the Stefanie H. Weill Center in Downtown Sheboygan.
On the pick for this movie to round out the festival, Beah Travis, Chair of the SFF Committee, said, “Film and television lovers in Sheboygan County are already thinking about and enjoying Tim Robbins’ work. So it made sense for us to celebrate him as well. This film has aged very well, and many of the issues it addresses are even more relevant today. We’re very pleased to present this screening.”
The following weekend, Robbins himself is slated to headline the 81st season of the Kohler Foundation’s Distinguished Guest Series.
Two productions of his play Topsy Turvey, as well as an in-depth discussion with NPR Fresh Air Host Tonya Mosley, will take place at the Kohler Memorial Theatre on October 10th and 11th.
