New documents released by the Sun Prairie Area School District shed light on the dismissal of Robert Gilkey-Meisegeier.
Gilkey-Meisegeier is the former dean of students at Sun Prairie West High School.
The district initially received a report that he had interacted inappropriately with a student on social media and had given them rides home.
Although an investigation found no wrongdoing at that time, he was again placed on leave on June 2 for other behavioral concerns.
A subsequent inquiry found he failed to report child sexual abuse involving a student and two staff members.
Gilkey-Meisegeier now faces 13 counts of child pornography possession and two counts of child sexual exploitation.
