The bid for a perfect season has come to an end for a Manitowoc Lincoln tennis duo.
Taylor Peterson and Jordin Popp lost their first match of the season, 6-4, 6-2, to Ana and Maria Cristescu of De Pere Tuesday at Lincoln Park.
The rest of the team struggled as well, as the Red Birds cruised to a 7-0 sweep of the Ships, with all of the wins coming in dominating fashion.
The Ships will have a short turnaround, as they are set to return to action tomorrow, hosting Pulaski at Lincoln Park.
