The Sheboygan County Warming Center has received a big donation from another local organization.
The group has announced that Scott and Kathleen Labonte of Sheboygan Area Pay It Forward have donated all of their shelving and many other items to the Warming Center after going on an indefinite hiatus.
This choice to give their remaining resources to the Warming Center came as an easy choice, knowing that they would be used in their same mission.
That being to help and support fellow community members in the Sheboygan area who are experiencing homelessness.
This donation comes after a tumultuous few months for Pay It Forward, which was without a home itself for many months.
While Pay It Forward is no longer dissolving as previously announced, this donation shows that its hiatus is expected to be lengthy.
When sharing the news of the donation, the Warming Center thanked all involved for transporting the shelving, chairs, and storage containers, along with the Sheboygan County Food Bank, which provided the truck used for transporting the items.
