Changes are happening at the Cool City Motel.
The motel was purchased on August 15th by Brian and Amanda (Zich) Conjurski, who are giving it a new look while remaining open to the public.
Amanda tells SeehaferNews.com that a big goal with transforming the motel is bringing tourism back into Two Rivers.
“We actually met with the director of tourism,” she revealed. “We’re very much trying to give back to the community with tourism. Fishing is a big, big component to what we have in our vision for renovating.”
The family has been working hard to make sure every guest has an enjoyable time staying at the motel, even while it is under renovation
“We are still open,” she reminds everyone. “We obviously take the cleanliness and safety and all that. So we’ve been doing a lot of things behind the scenes, deep cleaning and all that.”
Plans are going to take around a year for the motel to be fully renovated, as they are redoing all the rooms and giving the exterior a new paint job.
“We do have a plan to have like a big open house at the end of it,” Amanda noted. “Invite anyone from the community in to tour, we will have catered food and things like that.”
Amanda also thanked the community, saying, “The support has been overwhelming.”
Cool City Motel, located at 3009 Lincoln Avenue in Two Rivers, may be undergoing some renovations, but it is still open for business.
