A proposed housing development in Two Rivers could become a reality in the future.
The city council approved a planned united development (PUD) plan for the former convent at St. Mark’s Church to be turned into housing on Victory Street.
City Manager Kyle Kordell says the development would transform the building into a four-unit housing complex, while preserving its historical exterior.
The PUD also allows the developer to build an additional four-unit housing complex in an empty lot next to the former covenant.
The project is expected to take three years to complete.
