The new City Manager in Two Rivers is looking forward to immersing himself in the different cultures in the community.
Today (September 20th), the 34th Ethnic Fest will take place at Washington Park beginning at 9:00 a.m., and it will be City Manager Kyle Kordell’s first time experiencing the culture-rich celebration.
As always, Ethnic Fest looks to celebrate the different cultures in Two Rivers through unique entertainment, delicious food, and craft vendors.
As a preface, when speaking to SeehaferNews.com, Kordell said, “Ethnic Fest is a time to celebrate diversity and culture, which we have a lot of here in Two Rivers.”
He also stated that the timing for the event could not be better this year, as the City is welcoming a few special visitors.
“This is good timing for Ethnic Fest this weekend,” he explained. “As Two Rivers, this week, we are welcoming our friends from our sister city, Domažlice in the Czech Republic. They are in town, so they’ll be here at Ethnic Fest as well.”
On a personal note, he also told us that it’s not just the new cultures he’s looking forward to engaging with.
He said encouragingly, “Enjoy something different, with new music, good food, and culture. This will also be my family’s first time going to Ethnic Fest. So we look forward to checking it out, and we hope to meet many new friends as we settle into life in Two Rivers.”
While a first for the City Manager, this marks the latest rendition of the City of Two Rivers, celebrating the numerous cultures that make up its flourishing community.
