A Two Rivers woman charged with leaving children in a hot car while she got her nails done has pleaded not guilty.
Court records indicate that 23-year-old Hannah Sprang appeared in Manitowoc County Court, Branch 3, for a preliminary hearing.
She waived her right to the hearing and entered pleas of not guilty to three charges of neglecting a child.
She will return to court on October 24th for further proceedings.
Manitowoc Police arrested Sprang in July at QT Nails and Spa after someone called them saying that children had been locked in a car.
Sprang exited the salon and told police she was checking on the children “constantly.”
However, after reviewing security camera footage, it was revealed that the 23-year-old had only checked on the children once within an hour and had left the kids sitting in the car for just under an hour and a half.
While the temperature outside was approximately 69 degrees, the temperature inside the vehicle was about 81 degrees.
