
Week five of the high school football schedule has some interesting matchups on the docket.
Roncalli and New Holstein meet in New Holstein as the Jets and Huskies are battling Brillion for the top spot in the EWC, while Manitowoc Lutheran looks to remain undefeated as they have a non-conference road test at Horicon Hustisford.
Two Rivers hosts Wrightstown, where a celebration of life will be held for legendary head football coach Jerry Bonino on the field that’s named in his honor. Coverage on 980 WCUB and CubRadio.com begins at 6:45 p.m.
Manitowoc Lincoln wraps up a four-game homestand hosting Notre Dame Academy of Green Bay with coverage at 6:45 p.m. on 1240 WOMT and WOMTRadio.com.
Elsewhere, Mishicot looks to improve to 4 and 1 as they host a very good Kewaunee team, Valders travels to Chilton, Reedsville hosts Random Lake/Ozaukee, Kiel entertains St. Mary Catholic, Brillion travels to Kohler to play Kohler/Sheboygan Lutheran/Christian, Howards Grove travels to Oostburg, Hilbert is home for Cedar Grove/Belgium, Sheboygan Falls ventures to Luxemburg Casco, Oshkosh North hosts Sheboygan South, and Sheboygan North welcomes Green Bay West.
Green By East is at Menasha, Appleton West hosts Green Bay Southwest, Green Bay Preble heads to De Pere, West De Pere hosts Pulaski, Ashwaubenon travels to Bay Port, Denmark is on the road for Little Chute, Sturgeon Bay entertains Oconto, and Southern Door is at Peshtigo to battle the Bulldogs.
All games are scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m.
In eight-man football, Algoma plays Green Bay NEW Lutheran at Oneida Nation High School, Gibraltar visits Sevastopol, and Elkhart Lake/ Glenbeulah travels to Oshkosh to play Valley Christian.
Also tonight in girls’ volleyball, Manitowoc Lincoln is part of a prestigious 32-team field in a two-day tournament to be played at the Milwaukee Sting Center.
Matches are scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. Friday afternoon and resume Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m.
