A cemetery in Sheboygan is asking residents to start cleaning up gravestones as fall draws closer.
Wildwood Cemetery is asking lot owners to remove all summer decorations and artificial flowers by October 15th to help maintain the area’s beauty.
Any items not removed by October 15th will be disposed of by cemetery staff.
Starting on November 15th, new winter decorations or flowers can be placed on grave sites and must be placed in front of stones, except in Section 19, which allows artificial flowers only.
Decorations that are made of glass or other materials that shatter easily are not allowed, and flags that can be placed must be at least 12 inches above the ground.
