Microsoft is significantly increasing its investment in a planned AI data center in Mount Pleasant.
Originally slated at $3.3 billion, the tech giant is now adding an extra $4 billion, bringing the total to $7.3 billion.
The initial phase is expected to be completed early next year.
The full expansion will transform the site into a cutting-edge data facility within three years.
The center will initially employ 500 staff members, with plans to increase this number to 800 upon completion of the expansion.
