Sheboygan residents will have the opportunity to learn more about the future of health improvements in the community.
Healthy Sheboygan County, in partnership with the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health, will be hosting a Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) info session on October 2nd.
The info session will be held in the Phoenix Room on the UW-Green Bay, Sheboygan campus, beginning at 5:00 p.m.
A CHIP is developed from priority issues that are identified in a Community Health Assessment.
Following that assessment, the CHIP will support and actively engage with members of the community to improve the overall health of Sheboygan County.
Based on the county’s Community Health Assessment, the priority areas of focus will be positive mental health, responsible substance use, activity and nutrition, access to affordable housing, and access to affordable, high-quality child care.
Each area now has a dedicated action team working to improve through the CHIP, which runs until December 2028.
For those interested in attending the info session, registration is required, and a link to RSVP can be found on the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health Facebook page.
