Authorities and city officials in Neenah have taken action to restore safety and peace to the city.
The Neenah Police Department has said that on Friday (September 12th), they began abatement action on a property located in the 400 block of Sherry Street.
The Department continued to say that this decision came after the home became the source of ongoing drug-related activity and disturbances in the neighborhood.
As a result, the house has been boarded up with signs that read “NOTICE, This Building Cannot Be Used For Habitation, Occupancy, or Use.”
In the notice to the public informing them of this decision, Neenah Police stated, “This step is part of our commitment to proactive and positive policing. We are working every day to ensure our neighborhoods remain safe, healthy places to live, work, and raise families.”
They also thanked both the City Attorney’s Office and the Neenah Department of Public Works for their roles in assisting with the matter.
Anyone with questions regarding the abatement of this home can contact the Neenah Police Department’s non-emergency line at 920-886-6000.
