Frances B. Schmoock, age 84, of Kellnersville, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at her residence in Kellnersville. Thanks to Krista’s loving care, Fran was victorious over cancer.
Fran was born on February 20, 1941, in Denmark, a daughter of the late Frank and Caroline (Holl) Gretz. She grew up and attended Denmark schools graduating with the class of 1959 from Denmark High School. On July 6, 1961, Fran was married to William C. Schmoock Sr. at Greensboro, SC. He preceded her in death on June 5, 1993. Over the years, Fran worked for the Mirro Company and Eggers Company. In 1976, Bill and Fran began the Hillside Acres Dairy Farm, and she retired from farming in 1993 following Bill’s death.
Fran enjoyed playing cards, the Green Bay Packers, spending time with family and friends and horseback riding. She was a member of the Calmanshe Riders.
Survivors include her four children: Barbara Schmoock (Dave Kuehl), Kewaunee, Lisa Schmoock, De Pere, William Schmoock Jr., De Pere, Krista Schmoock, Kellnersville; seven grandchildren: Angela, Zachary, Ashley, Travis, Cassaundra (Evan), Briar (Sydney), Cadance (Hunter); seven great-grandchildren and one on the way: Blaze, Chase, Grace, Oliver, Calvin, Zayden, Sloane; one sister: Carole Reznichek; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Theresa Gretz, Harold Prince, Paul Schmoock, Diane Tisler, Karen Rezek, Pat Gesser; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Frank and Caroline Gretz; her husband: William C. Schmoock Sr.; granddaughter: Marissa Sleger; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Paul (Anita) Schmoock; four brothers: Jerome, Warren, Gale, and Michael; four sisters: Mary Cenefelt, Monica Prince, Sarah Schisel, Paula Hoffman; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: John Reznichek, Don Rezek, Ken Tisler, Milton Bielinski, Tom Gesser, Pat Gretz, Ursula Schmoock, Theresa Gretz, Gail Bielinski, Mary Ann Schmoock; one son-in-law: George Mills.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the Knollwood Mausoleum Chapel, 1500 Hwy 310, Manitowoc. Deacon Paul Gleichner will officiate with entombment to following in the mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at the Knollwood Mausoleum Chapel on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
