A Green Bay teen accused of attacking his mother with a pair of hedge trimmers is not competent to stand trial.
FOX11 reports that 16-year-old Ramone Waupoose was back in court last week for a competency hearing.
During the hearing, a judge ruled that Waupoose does not understand the court proceedings or what he can do to defend himself.
The case is now on hold while psychiatric treatment continues. According to a criminal complaint, a woman called 911 and the police because her son, who is autistic, attacked her.
The complaint states the mom deleted some rap videos from Waupoose’s YouTube account, which made him very angry.
After some very “creepy” behavior, the mom gathered up knives and other tools that could be used as a weapon and locked them in her car.
However, Waupoose allegedly found the hedge trimmers and then attacked the woman outside.
According to court records, Waupoose will return to a Brown County Courtroom in December for a review hearing.
