An associate principal in the Elkhorn Area School District has been falsely accused of making inappropriate remarks about a conservative activist’s death.
Cynthia Rehberg was wrongly identified in a social media post by influencer Ryan Fournier, claiming she celebrated Charlie Kirk’s passing.
The district said it received hundreds of angry voicemails, including threats, demanding her dismissal.
However, a tech investigation revealed the account responsible belonged to someone in a neighboring town.
Rehberg, later exonerated, said the ordeal has deeply affected her and her family.
