More bus lines in Sheboygan will be detoured due to an upcoming road construction project.
Shoreline Metro has stated that the Route 10 North bus line will be detoured to coincide with the extended road closure at the intersection of Wilgus Avenue and North Taylor Drive.
Both the construction project and the bus line detour will begin on Monday morning (September 15th).
During the detour, the Job Center, Memorial Plaza, and Marcus Cinema bus stops on Wilgus Avenue will be serviced at the intersection of North Taylor and Wilgus, and bus riders are asked to use Superior Avenue to access the 10 North bus.
While this road closure will have construction done in two phases, the detour will be in place for the entirety of the project, which is scheduled to be completed sometime in mid to late November.
The Sheboygan DPW has said this road construction will bring an infrastructure overhaul to the intersection, including new traffic lights, storm sewer improvements, and a designated right turn lane in the eastbound lane of Wilgus Avenue.
