A man and woman are in custody following a police pursuit in Madison Monday night that ended in a crash.
Authorities attempted to stop a Honda Accord with mismatched plates, but the vehicle fled.
Though the chase was later called off, police found the car had crashed into a tree.
Witnesses reported seeing the suspects run to a red Chrysler, which then sideswiped a Monona police car before stopping.
The man faces charges for fleeing, while the woman is charged with resisting arrest.
No officers were injured.
