A Sheboygan area nonprofit is set to launch a new support program for those affected by substance misuse.
Lighthouse Recovery Community Center – Sheboygan will launch the New Roots support group at its North 6th Street location on September 20th at 11:30 a.m.
New Roots is a weekly Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACA) support group that is rooted in the principles of the 12 steps and traditions.
The group offers support in a safe environment for adults who were raised in families dealing with substance misuse issues, primarily alcohol.
Through shared experience, compassionate connection, and practical tools for lasting change, these New Roots meetings will look to foster healing and growth with the mission of “Strong roots. New Growth. Lasting Change.”
Those who attend the ACA meetings will have the opportunity to share stories, break free from old patterns, reconnect with their inner child, and much more.
