Doris Ann Bruckschen-Kleckner, age 65, of Manitowoc, formerly of Cleveland passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Doris was born on January 27, 1960, in Manitowoc, a daughter of the late Harold and Evangeline (Busse) Bruckschen. Doris graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1978. She furthered her education at UW Sheboygan receiving her associate’s degree in science in 1980 and then obtaining her bachelor’s degree in business in 1984 from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. On November 10, 2000, Doris was married to John Kleckner at St. John St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Cleveland. He preceded her in death on February 1, 2021. Doris most recently worked for Mutual of Wausau, formerly Manitowoc Mutual, performing numerous duties including payroll, spreadsheets, and statistical analysis.
Doris was a lifelong member of St. John St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church, Cleveland.
Doris is survived by one sister-in-law: Sharon Bruckschen, Newton; one stepdaughter: Karla Bergman, Racine; step-grandchildren: Andrew Bergman family, Racine, Kelsey Bergman, Oshkosh; close friend: Tina Waack, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Harold and Evangeline Bruckschen; one brother: Elmer Bruckschen; her husband: John Kleckner.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at St. John St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church, 1255 Washington Street, Cleveland. The Rev. Steven Wall will officiate with burial to take place at the Saxton Cemetery, Cleveland. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for St. John St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church.
