A teenager from Neenah will be heading to prison for shooting two people.
Court records show that 18-year-old Anthony Hendricks was present inside a Winnebago County courtroom yesterday for his sentencing hearing.
This comes after Hendricks was convicted due to no contest pleas to charges of Second-Degree Reckless Injury and Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place back in June.
FOX11 reports that at yesterday’s hearing, the 18-year-old was sentenced to spend 20 months in prison followed by five years on extended supervision.
Hendricks was arrested in November of last year following a shooting in the 100 block of West Bell Street in Neenah.
Police arrived on scene to find two individuals with gunshot wounds, including Hendricks’ 11-year-old brother.
Aid was immediately rendered to both victims, who would eventually make a full recovery, while Hendricks was later arrested and charged with two counts of First-Degree Reckless Injury, Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place, Aggravated Battery, Possession with the Intent to Deliver THC, and Resisting or Obstructing an Officer.
However, a plea deal was reached this summer, which saw the teen convicted of the lesser charges for which he will now be serving time behind bars.
