
One person has died, and others were hospitalized after a motorcycle crash in Oshkosh over the weekend.
The Oshkosh Police Department was called to the intersection of High Avenue and Wisconsin Street yesterday (September 7th) just after 6:30 p.m. on a report of an accident involving a motorcycle and a truck.
Initial investigations reveal that a motorcycle was traveling eastbound on High Avenue while the truck was heading south on Wisconsin Street.
The two vehicles would then collide in the intersection, ejecting the motorcycle operator, a 27-year-old Appleton man.
The 27-year-old would later be pronounced dead at the scene, while two occupants of the truck were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
At this time, the cause of the fatal accident remains unknown and is under investigation by the Oshkosh Police Department’s Crash Investigation Team.
Other units responding to the incident included Oshkosh PD’s Criminal Investigation Division and Auxiliary Police, along with the UW-Oshkosh Police Department.
