Art, music, and community will be the focus at the John Michael Kohler Art Center’s Art Preserve in less than two weeks.
Wayside Days at the Art Preserve will take place from September 18th through the 20th, an event inspired by the words of Ruth DeYoung Kohler, who said, “Be open to detours and side roads—often they lead to the richest experiences.”
In describing what this weekend-long event signifies, the art center said, “Wisconsin waysides have a long history as places for travelers to stretch their legs, picnic, and enjoy a bit of relaxation before continuing their journey. Inspired by that tradition, Wayside Days celebrates the rich experiences to be found along the detours and side roads in life’s journeys.”
Wayside Days will be kicked off on the 18th with the final Levitt AMP Sheboygan Music Series concert, which will feature artists Tiffany Xiong and Bizhiki.
Throughout the weekend, attendees will be able to experience the blending of art and environmental landscapes at the Art Preserve, the world’s first museum focusing on work that is entirely focused on work from art environments.
