A school district in Sheboygan County has received state funding to purchase state-of-the-art equipment.
The Department of Workforce Development (DWD) has handed out $1 million in equipment grants to 19 districts, including the Random Lake School District.
Random Lake has received $60,000 in funding that will be put toward equipment, including a Peel 3D Scanner, MINDS-i Electric Car and Drone Lab, and a Resin 3D Printer.
This high-tech gear will enable Random Lake Students to be better prepared for in-demand careers through the development of technical skills and practical understanding.
To that same point, DWD Secretary Amy Pechacek said, “The state-of-the-art equipment, including robotic welders, laser cutters, 3D printers, and other high-tech tools, will enable schools to provide coursework that aligns with industry standards and strengthen our state’s workforce now and into the future.”
The Campbellsport School District in Fond du Lac County was also awarded $100,000 to fund the use of a Certified Industrial Robot Training Lab.
