A man accused of burglarizing the Manitowoc Walmart is free on bail.
24-year-old Miguel A. Almestica was given a $350 cash bail by Court Commissioner Patricia Koppa on a lone charge of Burglary, which he has since furnished.
The burglary occurred on August 18th, when Almestica allegedly broke into the store via the locked GM entrance.
He was seen on video surveillance taking two Xbox controllers into the bathroom near the electronics section and leaving with them unpackaged.
Almestica’s vehicle was reported abandoned at the Manitowoc AmericInn on Monday, and the next day, he turned himself in.
While out on bail, he was ordered to provide an address to the court, have no contact with the Manitowoc Walmart or the premises, and to maintain absolute sobriety.
Almestica is due back in court on Monday for his initial appearance in Branch 3.
