Rose Marie C. Stumpf, age 88, of Irmo, South Carolina, passed away Friday, December 13, 2024, with family by her side.
Rose Marie was born in Manitowoc, WI, on December 2, 1936 to the late Alex and Irene (Blashka) Wicihowski. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1955. On August 31, 1956, she married Richard Endries, who passed away on November 26, 1973. She married Lawrence Stumpf Sr., on December 27, 1975 and he preceded her in death on March 7, 2008.
Rose Marie was the oldest of 10 children and loved to talk about her beloved siblings. She loved to shop, cook, and entertain while living in Wisconsin and despite not being as mobile once in South Carolina, she still loved to shop, especially at her favorite store, Hamrick’s, and entertain everyone with her witty personality. She made sure to let everyone she talked to know that her favorite man in her life was her great-grandson, Landon. She was a huge Green Bay Packer fan and loved to watch the Bachelor and her game shows every day with her favorite dachshund, Max, by her side. In recent years she could be found happily greeting customers at her daughter’s store: Thrifty Treasures.
Rose Marie is survived by two daughters: Sharon Kahl, of Irmo, SC and Mary Lynn Donelson, of Antioch, IL; son: William Endries, of Hammond, LA; granddaughters: Heather (James) Danley, and Alexis Hatchett (Coleman); and great-grandson: Landon Danley. She is further survived by brothers and sisters: Jerry (Kathy) Wicihowski, Gene (Jody) Wicihowski, Karen Berzinsky, Shirley Crabtree, Dave (Kathy) Wicihowski; sister-in-law: Linda Wicihowski; brother-in-law: Tom Tomasik; Aunt Caroline Blashka, and Aunt Karen Blashka; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Rose Marie was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; brothers: Don Wicihowski, George Wicihowski, and Bob Wicihowski; sister: Mary Tomasik; brothers-in-law: Tom Crabtree and John Berzinsky.
A memorial service to celebrate Rose’s life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi Marshall site, with Rev. Richard Klingheisen officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. A graveside service will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
