
Mark Murphy, who’s the only one known to have won a Super Bowl as a player and an executive, will be at Salute to Everyone in Manitowoc to kick off year 16 of WOMT Sports Talk on Monday, September 8th.
Murphy won Super Bowl 17 as a player with the Washington Redskins in 1982 and as the President and CEO of the Green Bay Packers in 2011 in Dallas, defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl 45.
He was recently inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame for his work during his 17-year tenure in Green Bay. Murphy’s resume includes creating the Titletown District, which is still expanding to this day, and bringing
The NFL Draft to Titletown this past April, with nearly 700,000 people visiting Green Bay during the three-day event. He retired on July 25th and is currently an Executive in Residence at UW-Green Bay, helping in their athletic department.
