Two local agencies joined forces to save an injured dog over the weekend.
The Cleveland Fire Department, alongside the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office, was called to the beach at Point Creek Park just before 6:30 Saturday evening (August 30th).
The caller stated that they saw a dog on the beach that appeared injured and couldn’t walk.
Firefighters and Sheriff’s Deputies then utilized a stokes basket to transport the injured dog up a steep bluff near the beach.
Luckily, the dog was wearing tags, and the owners were later contacted to reunite them with their furry friend.
Following the incident, the Cleveland Fire Department stated that they are proud to serve their community in every aspect, including injured animals in need.
