Wallace L. Fritsch, age 88, of Manitowoc, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at the Aurora Medical Center of Manitowoc County.
Wally was born on May 4, 1937 in Manitowoc County, a son of the late Leonard and Rose (Koeppel) Fritsch. On January 4, 1958 Wally was married the former Shirley Goodwin at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. She preceded him in death on March 2, 2013.
Wally was a welder at the Manitowoc Equipment Works, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed family time, fishing, hunting, long car rides in the country, and the Green Bay Packers. Wally was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish and the Local #619 Machinist Union.
Survivors include his children: Dorothy (Gary) Rosenbauer, Lynn (John) Dupont, Carol Fritsch, Bill (Laurie) Fritsch, Bob (Bonny) Fritsch, and Scott Fritsch; grandchildren: Jeff (Stephanie) Campion, Jessica Campion and Dennis, Evan Keehan, Joshua (Clare) Fritsch, Nicole Grebe, Gage Campion, Zane Niemojuski, Kieran Jaschob, JJ Campion, and Aliana Campion; four great grandchildren; one sister-in-law: Theresa Fritsch and family; three nieces: Donna Springstroh, Beverly Tyson, and Debbie Schneider; other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Leonard and Rose Fritsch; his wife: Shirley Fritsch; one infant son: Leonard H. Fritsch; one brother: Gene Fritsch; one sister: Audrey Krueger; and two nephews: David Krueger and Dale Fritsch.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at St. Francis of Assisi, Waldo site, 1121 N. 14th St, Manitowoc. The Rev’s Arogya Prashanth Gade and Richard Klingeisen will concelebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with entombment to follow at the Knollwood Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 12 noon until the time of services at 1:30 pm.
