Riverside University High School has postponed the start of its school year due to a chemical spill.
Parents were notified on Monday that students should not attend classes today.
The new first day of school is now scheduled for Wednesday, September 3rd.
Superintendent Eduardo Galvan stated the spill may be linked to outdated science lab equipment containing mercury.
School staff are still required to report to work on Tuesday.
