
The man accused of threatening to kill Manitowoc Police is still in jail.
38-year-old Nathaniel G. Smith was given a $750 cash bail by Court Commissioner Patricia Koppa on charges of Battery to Certain Individuals Involved with a Court or Legal System, Possession of an Electric Weapon, and Disorderly Conduct.
He had yet to furnish that bail as of Saturday afternoon. Smith also has an open case for Resisting or Obstructing an Officer and Carrying a Concealed Knife, both as a repeat offender.
Police were called to The Wharf in downtown Manitowoc at 7:30 last Wednesday evening after a witness reported hearing Smith yelling that he “wants to kill someone.”
When approached by police, he reportedly yelled, “I am going to kill you all,” and claimed the “screwed over my entire *expletive* life.”
He was also found to be in possession of a taser during the arrest. Conditions of his bail include having no contact with the victim business and the victim, and to not possess any weapons.
Smith is due back in court on Tuesday for his initial appearance in Branch 2.
