Plymouth Utilities is gearing up for its annual electronics recycling day.
They have announced that the event will be held on September 11th from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Plymouth Utilities facility on the City’s southside.
This yearly tradition allows Plymouth residents to dispose of large, broken, unused, or unwanted electronics that can not be thrown away during regular trash collection.
Most items will be free to recycle, including cell phones, dishwashers, refrigerators, air conditioners, and much more.
However, fees will be added to items such as incandescent, fluorescent, and LED light bulbs, along with batteries, CRT monitors, and tube and plasma screen TVs.
It will cost $1 per lightbulb under four feet, $2 for any over four feet, $1 per pound of batteries, $10 each for CRT monitors and tube TVs, and $20 per plasma screen.
Payment is required at the time of drop off. The Plymouth Utilities facility is located at 900 County Highway PP, but those planning on participating are asked to enter via County Road O.
