A motorcyclist was fatally wounded after a crash with a semi.
The Wisconsin State Patrol was called to the semitrailer versus motorcycle accident at the intersection of County Highway CB and Design Drive near Appleton yesterday (August 28th) just after 8:50 p.m.
Early investigation shows that the Kawasaki motorcycle, which was going southbound, crashed into the tractor-semitrailer and killed the rider.
The semi driver was not hurt. WSP will continue to investigate the accident. Southbound and northbound traffic on County Highway CB was closed for several hours during the investigation.
Troopers also got help from the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office, Grand Chute Police, Greenville First Responders and Fire Department, as well as the Appleton Airport Fire Department, Gold Cross Ambulance, the Outagamie County Highway Department, and Outagamie County Coroner.
