Work has begun on a new restaurant in Two Rivers.
Crews were on site at 1803 Washington Street on Monday morning to begin the disconnection of the water and electric services for the future Taco Bell location.
Demolition of the current structure, which used to be home to Family Video and US Cellular, is slated to begin on Wednesday.
The City of Two Rivers has noted that “This private sector investment into Main Street will not only bring another dining option, but will create jobs and help build the commercial tax base.”
The public was given time to give their opinion on the permit for the restaurant back in February, and the drive-thru permit was approved the following day.
An estimated completion date has not been announced.
