A few trucks in the City of Sheboygan fleet have earned new names.
The results are in, and winners have been selected in the Department of Public Works’ Name That Truck contest.
At the City’s Public Works Committee meeting yesterday (August 25th), DPW Director Travis Peterson shared that seven names were picked.
Winning names for garbage trucks included Trash Gordon and Bin Diesel, while winners for the snowplows were the Big LePlowski and Earl.
For the street sweepers, there was a tie, and therefore three winners were selected.
The names will be Sweeping Beauty, Gutter Hugger, and The Grim Sweeper.
The DPW will now notify the winning entrants, who will have the opportunity for their names to be on a truck in the Sheboygan fleet and the chance to get a photo with it as well.
