After a rough day in Green Bay, the Manitowoc Lincoln girls’ tennis team bounced back Saturday (August 23rd) at the Wauwatosa Invitational.
In their matchup against Wauwatosa East, the Ships won 5-2, and claimed the matchup with Wauwatosa West 6-1.
Sophia Levihn split her matchups in #1 singles, as did Hannah Brown in #2 singles and Aurora Jones in #4 singles. #3 singles player Maddie Black swept her competition, although her matchup against Molly Smale of West went into extra frames in the third and deciding set.
Black ended up winning 11-9 in that final set.
It was a great weekend for the doubles tandems as Taylor Peterson and Jordin Popp, Cadence Fischer and Julia Jagemann, and Reilly Blaser and Sophia Schwoerer all swept their matchups.
The squad will next be in action on Tuesday, September 2nd, when they will host Bay Port.
