Manitowoc Lincoln alum and Central Michigan transfer Davis Heinzen will start at left tackle for the Wisconsin Badgers Thursday night as they host the Miami of Ohio RedHawks.
Head Coach Luke Fickell released his two-deep today (Monday).
The 6-foot-6-inch, 315-pound lineman played the last three seasons for The Chippewas, starting 36 consecutive games at either left guard or left tackle.
Heinzen drew praise during fall camp from his coaches, including offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes, who went on record saying that the Shipbuilders grad is “brilliant and picks up on things very quickly.”
