The Manitowoc County Board of Supervisors is updating the county executive’s salary.
The council approved a proposal through the Personnel Committee to increase the next county executive’s salary by 5% in 2026, followed by a 2% increase in 2027 through 2030.
According to a resolution, the current county executive is earning approximately $110,000 per year, when it should be closer to $136,000.
The increase will bring the executive’s salary to 74% of the current wage band, which, according to the Manitowoc County code, should be 85%.
By April 2030, the annual salary for the county executive position will be about $119,000.
