A local school district is again among the best employers in the state of Wisconsin.
The Sheboygan Area School District has been announced by Forbes as the 19th best employer in the state, the only school district in Wisconsin to make the list.
This accomplishment comes as an improvement for SASD, as they were slotted at 35 in last year’s rankings.
Weighing in on a second consecutive year on the list, SASD Superintendent Jake Konrath, stated, “Our district values a ‘we mentality,’ where working together is truly a priority. This honor celebrates the dedication and commitment of our employees who make SASD such a special place for students, families, and our community.”
The district has attributed the distinction to its strong staff support and the professional growth opportunities they offer, such as their free Teacher Development Institute, professional development days, and competitive compensation and benefits.
Only two other Sheboygan County-based organizations made the list, with Acuity coming in at 36 and the Kohler Company, which ranked 39th.
