Manitowoc’s most out-of-this-world event each year is set to return in just a couple of weeks.
Sputnikfest 2025 will celebrate the 62nd anniversary of the crash landing of a piece of Sputnik IV (4) directly in front of the Rahr-West Art Museum on 8th Street.
The festivities on September 6th will include the annual Fricke Printing 5K Art Walk/Run, music by Bacchus Lotus, the ever-popular Captain Space Debris and Jr. Space Debris contests, and the Alien Pet Costume Contest.
All are also invited to watch as The Masquers reenact the ”real story” behind the crash landing on September 5th, 1962.
Guests are also invited to enjoy a children’s activity area, the Alien Drop raffle, and the iconic museum exhibits throughout the day.
Sputnikfest 2025 will begin at noon on September 6th at the Rahr-West Art Museum.
